Nine riders. Four countries. One of those Japanese storm cycles that resets your expectations.
When the Arc’teryx crew touched down in the Japanese Alps, the forecast was loud and the plan was simple: dig out, ride until your legs quit, eat, sleep, repeat. Language barriers disappeared fast. Storm riding has a way of doing that. Somewhere between shovel laps and face-shots, a quiet bond formed—the kind you only get when the snow keeps coming and everyone’s all in.
Linking up with Japanese snowboard legend Tadashi Fuse, the team fanned out across the Alps, searching high, low, and everywhere in between for deep turns, heavy moments, and the kind of days that stick with you long after the storm clears.
This is storm riding at its best—raw, immersive, and unforgettable.
