Zoom-In: Behind the Good Times With Knut
Where is Nitro Goodtimes held and why? Kitzstienhorn, Austria - because it is a mountain that has been supporting the snowboarding community through park building and events for years! Nitro has been a partner for over 10 years. The mountain is also very high and has good snow conditions into May.
How long have you been doing it? And who goes? 2025 (this year) was the 10th year of the Good Times Camp which started in 2015 at Kitzstienhorn, we have now expanded into China, and hopefully Italy, Japan and North America next winter. First of all the camp is about bringing regular snowboarders together to ride and hang with Nitro and each other. We invite Nitro Pro Riders, global and local team riders from all over the world. Our Nitro family, sales reps and friends from different countries. This year there were over people from over 18 countries attending. It’s an amazing mix of first-timers, return campers, pros, and family.
Most memorable clips from past camp good times? The most memorable clips for me from Camp Good Times have been the Group Shots! The iconic Nitro Group Shots were created at the Good Times - it was the only way to capture the energy and community in a video shot or photo to share the passion with people who were not there. This image has become a pretty big part of the Nitro brand and family over time.
Most underrated in your crew this year? The most underrated crew this year was the Swiss squad: Giovanni Rizzi, Patrick Hofmann, and Nick Peunter!!!! Sending it into the night and first and last on the hill.
MVP of the behind-the-scenes creating this camp? MVP of creating this camp and being a driving force for it are Andi Aurhammer and Tommy Delago for seeing the value in bringing the community together year after year… through actually snowboarding and hanging together.
