Louif may be the closest thing to jib royalty that exists in snowboarding. He’s been with VG since the beginning, taking home the ender part in the debut full length, “Videograss”. That was back in 2009 and Louif has kept it going ever since. Through covers, enders, openers and everything in between, Louif has had the kind of career people can only dream of. It would only make sense Louif would be back for “Search Party”

“Chances are Jill Perkins works harder than you,” were the first words of the first introduction written for the first feature interview printed in this very magazine. Those words were printed all the way back in 2021, but they still ring true today. Yes, it’s easy to say that Jill works hard, look at the facts. She won both Rider and Footage of the Year awards from her part in a Video of the Year nominated video. You try doing that by coasting.

It’s safe to say that nobody got more clips than Jed Anderson last year. It seemed every time you turned around you were getting smacked in the face by another helping footage. It wasn’t just quantity though, it was quality. From board promos to Supreme ads and an ender part in “Rated R”, it isn’t hard to see why Jed walked away 2024 Rider of the Year and Footage of the Year winner. So, if last year is any indicator, then we’ll just have to wait and see.

The Poet Laureate of snowboarding strikes again. Getting to watch Mike Rav snowboard is a treat, a unique experience unlike anything else that exists. And when he’s not in the streets he’s probably sitting by his typewriter. But when he is in the streets…well, he’s probably doing something equally amazing.

Tommy Gesme knows his path and he does not stray. You will not see Tommy carving lines or bombing down some narrow shoot in the backcountry. You will not see him busting out 450s at some contest, in fact, you probably won't even see him in any contest. Tommy knows where he wants to be—the streets. This single mindedness has made Tommy Gesme a household name in street snowboarding. It has earned him the respect that only can come with being one of the best. Whether it’s Homage or Good Sport, Videogracias or Blender, Tommy’s proliferation is undeniable, never going more than two years without showing face in a groundbreaking project.

While he may be the youngest rider on the VG crew, he doesn’t ride like it. Or, maybe he does. Justin Phipps rides with the energy that can only come with being a 22-year-old in the streets. He rides fast, hits big rails, and isn’t afraid to get tech. The newly minted K2 am is more than earning his title. His hard to ignore video presence last year—clips in five projects—also earned him a Slushie nomination for Rookie of the Year.

Maybe you don't know Robby’s name, but you’ve certainly felt his influence. As a founding member of The Dustbox, Robby has been at the forefront of something profound. Reid Smith is the term hungry AM personified. In 2019 he snagged the cover of Snowboarder Magazine and the momentum never really stopped. You’ve seen him in any number of Dustbox projects, you saw him open up Ride Snowboard’s Rated R movie last year, and, realistically, the only place you haven’t seen him yet is in a Videograss movie. Not yet at least.

Danimals might have gotten his nickname (and definitely his Instagram name) from those slurpable little yogurt bottles, but we’d like to believe the name came because he isn’t human when he straps in. Ok, bad joke. But there is nothing to joke about with Dan’s snowboarding (ok, I really have to stop now). He’s a VG veteran who’s made a name for himself starring in some of the biggest videos of the past decade. He’s a technician on the rails but, if you’re from the midwest, how can you not be?
