Snowdays Foundation was created by the snowboard community to share the thing that brings us together. A 501-C3 founded in 2004 by Travis Parker, they partner with mentoring agencies to empower youth through snowboarding.

In Portland, K2uesdays represent the excitement of a new season, and this year’s closing show provided the perfect night to announce Snowdays’ expansion to Bend/Central Oregon - in a sold out theatre celebrating the connection of the Oregon snowboarding community. Starting in January they will offer programming Wednesdays at Hoodoo Ski Area in Sisters.

Jake Price premiered "Taste’s Like Fun" — a snowboard history lesson highlighting the rarities of our culture hidden to the tech savvy. “The most common quote I heard from most people after the show was ‘How in the hell did you find that?’ I literally went through 130+ VHS & DVD’s from my collection to select all of the LOL moments that were sketched into my mind forever. The result is a mash up guaranteed to bring back memories of why we all love snowboarding so much.”

"Each winter we get the community together to help raise money and awareness for Snowdays and what they stand for. Seeing the volunteer's energy to bring snowboarding to everyone is what this is all about." - Dan Sorcinelli, K2.

“Having Snowdays in my backyard will give the inclusivity that is greatly welcomed in Bend/Central Oregon. To open the eyes of the youth to a life changing experience such as snowboarding is the greatest honor of my 20+ years riding sideways.” - Jake Price

“Expanding to Central Oregon has been a longtime goal and we are so grateful for the support of the athletes, brands and resorts that helped make this next chapter possible.” says Jen Lorentzen of Snowdays. Few things in life compare to the feeling of accomplishment and joy that one feels at the top of a snow-covered mountain. The benefits of this experience are especially impactful to those who often have the least access. Acquiring new skills through snowboarding improves self esteem, inspiring participants to recognize their potential and see challenges as opportunities.

"It has been a long time coming, Snowdays is officially in Central Oregon this winter and I am excited to be involved in taking young people from my community to Hoodoo." - Austin Smith

The K2uesday lineup kicked off with a showing of Riders on the Storm and Absinthe Pop! selected by John Logic of Snowboard Connection.

"Like Hoodoo Ski Area, Snowdays is a locally founded, Oregon-based organization that helps young people learn how to enjoy outdoor winter recreation. We're really excited to welcome Snowdays to Central Oregon's original ski area this winter to continue that tradition." Jennifer Davis with Breaking Free Media & Hoodoo Ski Area
