Jenise Spiteri advanced to the Semis after the first round game with Anny Vongsavanh was unable to finish due to minor injury, but Jenise was riding strong before and this was no gimme game. But going up against Grace would not be an easy feat. Jenise got her first letter when she tapped on a nosepress. Grace was able to take the lead right of the gate but Jenisee managed to back up a handful of Grace’s moves. Grace slipped up on a kink boardslide, giving Jenise the chance to take over.  She laced a backside 180 on half cab out, the crowd went wild, and Grace was caught slippin’ on the landing of her rebuttal. We had ourselves a game. Jenise channeled that momentum and went for the backside 270, but to no avail. Grace then greased a front board pretzel, which ended the day for Jenise Spiteri.  Grace moved on to the finals round.
